How long does a deep cleaning take?

For a typical two-bedroom home, plan on four to six hours. Larger homes or homes with heavy buildup take longer. We give you a time estimate after the walk through, and we stay until the job is done right.

How do I know if I need a deep cleaning?

If you see dust on surfaces that were just cleaned, feel a film on your floors, or notice soap scum and grime in the bathroom, that is a sign. Also, if you or a family member has allergies, a deep cleaning removes the dust that regular cleaning misses.

Do I need to be home during the cleaning?

You can be home or not. If you are not home, we just need a way to get in, like a lockbox or a neighbor with a key. We will lock up when we leave. If you are home, we will work around you.

What do you clean that I might not expect?

We clean behind and under appliances, inside the oven and refrigerator, on top of cabinets, and along baseboards. We also scrub tile grout, wipe down light switches and door handles, and clean inside windowsills.

How do you estimate the cost?

We walk through your home first and look at the condition of each room. The cost depends on the size of your home, the number of bathrooms, how much furniture needs to be moved, and how much buildup there is. We quote a flat rate for the job, not an hourly charge.

What should I do before the crew arrives?

Clear countertops and tables of small items, and remove valuables or anything fragile from the areas we will clean. If you have pets, let us know if they need to be in a separate room. We bring all cleaning supplies and equipment, so you do not need to provide anything.

We start by moving what we can, then work top to bottom. We pull out the refrigerator and stove to scrub the floor and walls behind them. We degrease the oven interior, wipe down every shelf, and run a cleaner through the dishwasher. Bathrooms get a disinfecting scrub on tile, grout, and fixtures. We vacuum with a HEPA filter and damp mop hard floors last.

Every house is different. The time and cost depend on square footage, how many bathrooms and bedrooms there are, how much furniture needs to be shifted, and how long buildup has been allowed to set. Pet hair, smokers' residue, and hard water stains all add work. We walk through first and give you an honest estimate based on what we actually see.

On the day, we bring all supplies and equipment, so you do not need to prepare anything except clearing countertops and removing valuables from the areas we will clean. We protect floors with drop cloths when moving appliances. When we finish, we leave the space ready to use. You do not need to do anything after except enjoy it.

We pull out refrigerators, stoves, and washers to clean the dust, crumbs, and grime that collect in those tight spaces. This is the buildup that regular cleaning never touches.

Grout scrubbing

Tile grout absorbs soap scum and hard water minerals. We scrub it with a stiff brush and a tile-safe cleaner, restoring the color and removing the film that makes it look dull.
